Take Flowers To The Da Vinci Code Movie

Copyright © 2006-2008 Wesley Berry, AAF

Okay, maybe you can't really bring flowers to the movies, but you can bring movies like The Da Vinci Code to flowers. Flowers are so adaptable that you can incorporate any theme or gift idea you can possibly dream up. In fact, movies are a surprisingly easy theme to use with flowers.

Don't believe me? Here are just a few ideas:

  • The Da Vinci Code: There are thousands of Da Vinci themed items available in stores today, and just about any of them can be added to a gift of flowers. You could have your florist use Da Vinci bookmarks as decorative elements in the arrangement. They can be mounted on sticks and poked in between the flowers. Or, you could purchase a Da Vinci mug and have your florist use it as a container for the arrangement. If you're feeling particularly creative and you've got a knack for crafts, you could decoupage your own Da Vinci pot. Purchase a clay pot and gather pictures from the movie or related to the theme and use them to cover the pot.

  • Wizard of Oz: For the Oz lover, purchase a pair of children's ruby slippers (available in the shoe section of many discount stores) and ask your florist to use them in making a colorful arrangement. A very small size of shoes could be attached to ribbons and tied round the stems of large bouquet. You might also purchase Oz figurines and have them tucked in among the flowers.

  • Jurassic Park: Dinosaurs can make a floral gift an even bigger hit. Purchase toy dinosaurs and have them placed in the arrangement. There are also toy Jurassic Park vehicles available from toy stores that your florist may be able to place a container in or use in other creative ways.

  • Any Movie: For a general gift of movies and flowers, ask your florist to create an arrangement in a popcorn box or bucket. Add a gift certificate to the theater or a pair of movie tickets and an invitation for a night out. You can also use boxes and bags of movie candy as accessories.

While your florist may not have all of the accessories on hand for your gift, he or she is sure to have some wonderful ideas to use the items you bring in. Whether it's The Da Vinci Code or another movie that captures your loved one's imagination, with some help from your florist you can send a beautiful and fun gift of flowers with a very personal touch.
