Other People's DoubtsCopyright © 2008 Andrea ConwayIt's wonderful when business owners have family, friends and associates who believe in and encourage their business ideas. But what if you're not that fortunate? I've had coaching clients who blamed their lack of progress in business on unsupportive and even hostile family members. "My spouse thinks I'm crazy to leave a good job just to follow a dream that may never come true. And maybe he's right." Does the Law of Attraction offer a solution to this quandary? You bet it does. Each of us is the main character in our own life. The events, circumstances and people we encounter outside of us are reflections of the thoughts and feelings we hold inside. What's shows up outside is attracted to us because of what's inside. This idea may strike you as odd -- I mean, your skeptical mother is always that way, isn't she? Well, not exactly. Your mother shows up one way to you and quite another way to her old friends from high school, her boss, and her favorite grandchild. Even your dog can be frisky and friendly with you who love him but standoffish with your brother who is afraid of him. Flashing neon sign: the way others show up to you has only to do with one thing: you. Other people's doubts mirror our own doubts back to us. When we don't like what's showing up, Law of Attraction reminds us to examine our thoughts and feelings. Then we can make the connection between what's showing up and how we've attracted it. "Aha. It was me all along." That awareness opens up a new set of choices about what we prefer to think, feel and attract. Instead of suppressing our doubts or feeling angry at the people who express them -- neither of these common responses changes our point of attraction -- we have a new choice. When we're aware that doubt is inside us, we can examine our old beliefs and discover where we have been a vibrational match to doubt. Then we have the divine right to declare a new belief and a new way of being. At the soul level, your skeptical friends aren't trying to stop you. Their soul purpose is to wake you up to the truth of where you vibrate. As you claim awareness and consciously change your old beliefs -- a skill that anyone can learn -- you're no longer a match to doubt. And, surprise, others no longer doubt you. About The Author:
